Carly Mathews-Lynch is an editor and producer of both film and audio.
At the moment she is working as a freelance editor and is proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut 7 and Avid Media Composer 8. Her current role as a freelance news craft editor requires an operational knowledge of Avid editing systems, Interplay, iNews, television production processes and audio and video principles.
In 2014, she was the first person in Ireland to be awarded the Sky Academy TV Scholarship allowing her to attend the MA in Broadcast Production at the National Film School in IADT, for which she earned a first class honours degree.
Having graduated from DCU in 2011 with a BA in Communication Studies, she has worked as a production assistant on a number of TV productions and as an independent producer she has created content over a plethora of platforms including online promotional work and documentaries.
She was shortlisted for ‘Best Radio Production: Arts & Features’ at the 2015 National Student Media Awards (Smedias) and was previously nominated for Radio Presenter of the Year at the 2011 Smedias. She won ‘Presenter of the Year’ at the Hybrid Awards in 2011 for her work on DCUfm’s ‘Boomstick’.
